Volunteers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) along with office bearers of the district unit of the party staged a protest demonstration on the call of the Trade Wing of the party against the spike in the prices of commercial LPG refills by the BJP government at the Centre today.

Held outside the hall gate in the morning, Jaskaran Singh Bandesha, Lok Sabha Incharge Amritsar, Prabhbir Singh Brar, District President Amritsar Urban, Sheetal Juneja, president Trade Wing Majha Zone, Sukhbir Kaur, president Majha Zone Women’s Wing, Abhishek Bansal, District President Trade Wing Amritsar Rural, Kamna Anand, district president Women’s Wing were among those present.

Protesting against the Union Government, demonstrators said the steep price hike will drive up costs for food, particularly ready-to-eat meals. Since a large section of the workforce relies on these meals, higher prices could force many to cut back. That, they said, would result in a decline in business for vendors and food sellers
