SGPC, Akali Dal heads meet Takht Jathedars

Amid a crisis prevailing within the Shiromani Akali Dal, the party’s acting president Balwinder Singh Bhunder, SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami today held a closed-door meeting with Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh and Takht Damdama Sahib Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh.

Though all were tight-lipped about the purpose of the unscheduled meeting, it is presumed that SAD’s internal conflict was discussed to work out a solution. SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, who recently submitted his resignation, had approached Akal Takht, urging to expedite the “tankhah” proceedings
