SFJ backs Rahul’s remarks on Sikhs; ‘unprecedented’, says BJP

In a turn of events that is bound to put the Congress on the defensive, banned terror organisation Sikhs for Justice on Wednesday released a statement backing Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on Sikh anxieties in India.

In the statement headlined “Rahul Gandhi reverberates SFJ’s position on Khalistan”, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun of SFJ said: “Rahul’s statement on existential threat to Sikhs in India” is not only bold and pioneering but is also firmly grounded in the factual history of what Sikhs have been facing under successive regimes in India since 1947 and also corroborates SFJ’s stance on the justification for Punjab Independence Referendium to establish Sikh homeland Khalistan.”

Terming the SFJ’s support for Rahul’s remarks unprecedented, the BJP said Rahul and Congress are “indeed against India.”

“This is unprecedented. Sikhs For Justice, the banned Khalistan terror group, has backed Rahul Gandhi’s mis-informed comments on the Sikh community, in the US. After Ilhan Omar, this is yet another instance of Congress in cahoots with anti-India forces.

Congress and Rahul Gandhi are indeed against India. They are doing everything possible to destroy India’s social fabric,” BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya said posting the SFJ statement on his timeline.
