Panthic leaders on Wednesday slammed the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for claiming that the issue of 328 saroops of Guru Granth Sahib was an internal matter of the SGPC.Panthic leaders Mohkam Singh, Manjit Singh Bhoma and Satnam Singh said the issue of the saroops pertained to the entire Khalsa Panth and could not be confined to any single body. They alleged the SGPC leadership was continuously trying to protect its political masters as well as office-bearers of the committee in connection with the matter. The leaders appealed to Akal Takht officiating Jathedar Kuldip Singh Gargaj to allow the law to take its own course and not shield the SGPC on the issue. They said it was only after pressure mounted from Panth-loving people that the state government registered an FIR against the culprits. According to them, the development caused turmoil within the SGPC and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), which is headed by Sukhbir Singh Badal
