There is a need to come together and discuss the issues facing the nation and take decisions: Harmeet Singh Kalka, Jagdeep Singh Kahlon
New Delhi: In a meeting held today between the office bearers and members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State, the need to take decisions together to resolve the issues facing the community by convening a Panthic convention in Delhi on February 19 was emphasized.
Giving more information about this, the committee president Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and general secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon said that in today’s meeting, the burning issues facing the nation were discussed. They said that today it is being seen that the Shiromani Akali Dal Badal is violating the orders of the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that the way in which the Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh was removed from his post and the character assassination of other Jathedars is being done, there is outrage in the entire Sikh world. He said that for this reason, we have decided to organize a joint Panthic convention of Sikhs from the entire country which will be held on February 19 at 4.00 pm in Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall in Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib Complex, in which the challenges faced by the Panth will be discussed and the further outline will be drawn.
He said that today there is a need to unite to face the Panthic challenges. He said that in the convention we have invited the Singh Sahibans of the five Takhts, Nihang Singh organizations, sects and Singh Sabhas across the country, whether they are from Hyderabad, Calcutta, Indore or Assam. He said that in the convention there will be a discussion on how to deal with those who violate the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. In response to a question, he said that the President of the Shiromani Committee wrote a black history by removing Giani Harpreet Singh and there is no point in inviting him to the convention.
He further said that we will warn them that if you take such steps, the nation will take notice of you.
In response to another question, he said that in the elections in Delhi, whoever the Sikh candidate asked for help, we have helped them. He said that we have helped Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, former president of Delhi Gurdwara Committee and Sardar Tarvinder Singh Marwah. He said that on the seat where the Sikh candidates have asked for help, we have helped.
He said that by maintaining cordial relations with the governments, we will also resolve the pending issues.
