A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited the Bhindi Saida police station, where a blast had taken place on Monday.
The team inspected the site and interacted with senior police officials, who maintained that the exact nature and cause of the explosion would be known only after the forensic examination reports were received.

Meanwhile, a purported video of the blast and a poster surfaced on social media, in which a little-known outfit, the Khalistan Liberation Army, claimed responsibility for the attack.

The video shows two hand grenades and an explosion inside a police station complex. However, the Amritsar (Rural) police have not verified the authenticity of the video or the poster. In the poster, the outfit claimed the attack was carried out to avenge the killing of Ranjit Singh (19), a resident of Adhian village. He was allegedly one of the accused in the killing of two police personnel in Gurdaspur district on February 23
